Maple Valley Family Pictures

You know those good feelings you get when you are around certain people or in a certain place. Today my kids and I were exploring Snoqualmie. We went to a little train museum and then we went into a little Cafe next door and split a BLT three ways. We were all quite and content. I just watched my kids as they started at the eclectic artwork and items plastered all over the walls of the little restaurant. I made small talk with the waitress and felt so content. I thought, what a nice place this is, I can just feel it. I wish we gave more credit to these types of feelings. I think they mean more than we think. I have those same feelings for this beautiful family I photographed. They go to my church. I have observed their children in primary and at other activities. I have watched them serve. I have watched the parents care about their children and others around them. I have listened to one of their daughters talk about her flute practice and how she wants to try hard to practice with out complaining. She recognizes that it makes it tough for her mom. Each person in the family is playing a part, being loved or loving, helping, working, getting through a challenge or supporting another. Its a beautiful mess to watch a family. It’s amazing to see a family learn and grow and love and interact. 7 completely different souls all intertwined together in one unit. It is not always easy, it is growth and learning and edification but it is beautiful and I can feel it.
